Yes, it is related to the user role permission. Once your user role has this “delete activities” enabled. You should be able to delete your list.

More than likely you don’t have the permissions enabled in your user settings to delete lists. I tried looking in user permissions quickly but did not see where exactly to adjust this. Hopefully someone else has the answer.
