Updating Item Catalog Via API

Question

Hey folks,

I am looking to update our Site One Item catalog to the correct allocations using the Aspire API. For example we have a bunch of 50lb bags in as:

Purchase Quantity: EA

Allocation: EA

Allocation Ratio: 1 EA= 1 EA

Rather than:

Purchase Quantity: Bag

Allocation: LB

Allocation Ratio: 1 Bag = 50 LB.

If I update to the correct allocations is there anything I should keep an eye out for with everything being tied back to the Site One import.

I am unsure about through the API, however, traditionally it has not been an option to edit purchase untis, allocation conversion or allocation units on an item once it is initially saved……. Related to the Site One sync units is one of the challenges with the sync as they all come through as EA. if an edit is possible I would be concerned about the sync overriding it.
