Hi All,

My name is Hunter Secord, Director of Construction at SLP in the Lakes Region of NH. We are looking into switching from invoiced revenue to earned revenue on Aspire. Reaching out to see if anyone has feedback on this process, recommendations on some helpful classes to take, or any other relatable information as we continue to explore this. Again, we are just in the research phase now and looking to gather as much helpful information as possible.

Thank you for the help in advance!

We did it.  It is a little painful but worth it.  Use the aspire accounting team to help you make sure you dot the i’s and cross the t’s.  Also takes some training internally on how to now look at the financials.

HI we did this. We revamped our whole accounting at the same time. It became a huge project for us, but was worth it. We utilized a third party accounting firm in Austin, Texas to do 90% of the work for us. Catherine Covington from Covelso is who we used. She only works with clients in the landscape industry that utilize Aspire. She knows Aspire very well from the accounting side. You will need to plan out the transition. Typically they will recommend you switch at a time when most of your contracted work is nearing complete at the end of the contract period. They want the over/under to be at its lowest point when making the switch. We are a smaller company and I'm not an accountant, I highly recommend using someone who knows what they are doing when making the switch. You have to do a lot of extra work each month and keep an eye on certain things that wasn't needed before. But you will have more accurate financials. Its worth it but there is a large learning curve.
