Does anyone have a process for follow up on Construction projects once the project is completed, and do you use Aspire to implement it? I’m thinking irrigation check backs at certain intervals and checking on hardscape and plant health. I’m looking to put more framework to our process and wondering if work tickets or tasks could work for this? Thank you in advance!

I recommend using Site Audit because it allows us to document detailed information and enables team members to create issues directly from the audit. We use it frequently for post-job inspections.

@SoboYiW Thank you and that makes sense! My question additionally is - how do you make sure the site audits happen at a certain cadence. Like if you want a follow up 7 days later and then 30 days and then 1 year as an example. Also, are people filling out site audits on their phone, an ipad or computer?

Great question.

At this time, there is no effective way to automatically trigger a Site Audit, so team members use manual reminders on their calendars. We also review Site Audit data during our weekly operations meetings. With consistent follow-up, completing the audit quickly becomes part of the team’s routine.

Previously, we tried placing completed work tickets back on the scheduling board and adding notes to them. However, that approach did not provide adequate reporting or documentation.

Overall, I still recommend using Site Audit. Our team members typically complete the audits on-site using their phones or iPads.

The photo markup and editing feature is what we like most about Site Audit. It significantly improves communication between managers and crew members by making it easier to identify, explain, and document specific issues directly on the photos.

@SoboYiW thanks! I'll strongly consider site audits as part of the process… appreciate the reply. 😊

One solution to this is to have a per-service “follow up” contract with a 7 day, 30 day & 1 year service. These could be set up as services in specific divisions.
You would win this contract when the construction job is marked “complete” & the service manager is responsible for scheduling all of those contract services.
Some companies may choose to charge for these visits for their warranties (if any) are in effect.

@Kbaird I was thinking about something like this… thank you! Maybe it's a combination of this and the site audits.

I would make the site audits something that they do on the visit. Hopefully Site Audits 2.0 with aspire mobile functionality comes soon.

Exactly! The other thing I ponder is who has responsibility for the visits and follow up. I really appreciate the help, and I'm excited to get this implemented!
