We have an Opportunity Template for which we needed to change the minimum price for a service item.  We set/changed the minimum price in the Opportunity Template but if we create a new Opportunity and apply the updated Opportunity Template, the service item price still uses the “old/original” minimum price, even though the Opportunity Template shows the updated minimum price.!!

Anyone have any ideas what is happening here?  I think it’s a bug.

If you click update pricing when creating a new opportunity, it will update minimums. You should set the minimums from the service catalog as well.

My grasp was that the minimum price (for a Service Item) set in the Opportunity Template overrode the minimum price in the Service Item record.

  • I changed the minimum price for the Service Item, then
  • deleted the Service Item from the Opportunity Template, then
  • re-added the Service Item to the Opportunity Template, then
  • refreshed the Opportunity Template in the Opportunity, and...

...the prices were correct.  Lesson learned.  Thanks again.
