Curious what other companies are doing?  If a Sales Member sells a contract in October, but it doesn’t start until January, do you wait until January to win or win it in October?

The sales member and company will want that recognized as soon as it’s sold, but winning a contract will put it in production and tickets are at risk of being pulled forward.

Love to hear some feedback.

I would say even though the contract was sold(won)... you are not actually earning any revenue until the start date begins and tickets are worked.  A lot can happen in those three months and something could change.  For us, that would throw off a lot of things.  I know it’s not super fair to the sales team but we go by the start date.  Just sharing from our side.  Good question!
