If a client initials an optional service to be added to the proposal and signs the whole thing... is there a way to add that option without having to do a change order for the option or resseting the bid and losing the signature?

You should be able to grab the optional service and pull it up to the contract?  I think?

It wont let me. It seems once the opportunity is complete and sent off for signature I have to reset it to bidding if I want to add the optional services… but then I lose the clients signature if I do that.

Yes- be super careful of losing the signature. We typically will print the signed proposal before making any changes...keeping a copy of at least a signature somewhere.  learned this the hardway.

  • swirtholg- Does that mean there isn’t a way to move the optional service to the scope without resetting it?

I think you can do it with a change order- but the results of losing the signature are the same. @Kbaird may have other thoughts on this as he’s been tackling other issues with the optional services.

We typically use it during the proposal process only. If someone wants it after the fact its a change order or a new proposal.

1. They can approve the optional service in the customer portal (easiest way)

2. you can generate that service as a new work order proposal using the “optional services” tool in administration

  1. Save the signed PDF & generate the change order
