has anyone used the aspire mobile app on a tablet or ipad?
We issue both a tablet and a phone to all crew leaders with Asprie mobile. They overwhelmingly prefer the phones, but a couple like using the tablets. What questions do you have about it?
thanks for the reply, i was wondering what different functionalities the tablet app may have, we want our technicians to be able to pull proposals from the system and get it signed on site
Ah, ok yes I can answer that. As far as the Aspire Mobile app goes, the functionality is exactly the same on a phone versus a tablet, unfortunately. There isn’t anything special on a tablet that they can’t do on a phone.
However, the Aspire desktop version (cloud.youraspire.com), depending on the tablet, will function and look just like you were browsing on your laptop or PC. If you were looking for a tech to pull proposals and have them signed on site, a tablet would be a decent way to do that, but 1) You would have to do it in your browser on the tablet (chrome, safari, whatever) because Aspire Mobile does not currently have that functionality and 2) you would have to set up their user role permissions appropriately for them to have the access and ability to do that.
For full transparency, our crew tablets (Samsung A9+), as well as our design tablets (iPad Pro, not sure exactly what model) both allow usage of the desktop cloud.youraspire.com in chrome/safari with full functionality. Our old crew tablets (Samsung a7 lite) did not, and only showed the “phone” version.
Hope that helps!
Aspire Mobile App
There doesn’t seem to be any functional difference between the two screens. Our crews prefer to use the app on their phones simply because it’s more portable and convenient in the field.
Aspire Cloud page
We have noticed the difference in Site Audit.
- phone: could not create opportunity or issue in a Site Audit.
- iPad: Yes to create opportunity and issue.
If only need to have client sign, it works fine on both device.
Then you can email client the signed proposal, so they can review the terms & conditions in depth if needed.
