Custom Forms - timing

We would like to use custom forms for some of our irrigation services so we can move away from paper.  However, they need to be done during the service.  We had them set up as complete ticket forms, but that doesn’t allow the tech to use the form while providing the service.  If we switch them to start ticket forms, will that allow for use while performing the service?  Or will that affect their start time and not actually start the ticket until they complete the form?

Start forms must be completed before time on the ticket starts. Have you looked into using Checklists or Site Audits?

We use checklists, but they don't cut it for what we need.  Site audits are still somewhat of a mystery to me.  A form that can be used during the service would be the ideal.  Thanks for the reply ​@Kbaird!

I was curious and tested this in Sandbox. Confirmed that the work ticket time only starts after the Start Ticket Form is submitted.

Unfortunately, that means tapping “Start” in the Aspire Mobile App alone does not trigger the start time.

I have submitted an enhancement request for this configuration. The idea is currently under review.

This is also true for clock in forms for the day if I remember correctly. It’s a little bit of an oversight, because the forms are work & the hours should be counted. It would also be great to have the ability to pull forms up while on a ticket. But that’s another idea for another day.
