In the past we used a software that allowed the foreman each morning to access a drop down menu and select their crew for the day. This was very flexible and one of my hopes for aspire. Any chance this could be an option in the near future for an update?

The process of having each crew member pin into the foreman device each morning builds their crew for the day....Is there a challenge your team is experiencing? Or just a preference for the way the old system worked?

As David said there is a way for them to “create their crew”

the crew leader needs to open the app & log in. They then clock in. They then log out (which does not clock them out). They can now give the phone to the other team members & have them enter their pin (found in the User Management tab of the administration screen on web). After they enter their pin they can clock in for the day. The crew leader can clock out everyone at the end of the day.

Having to log in, clock in, log out, log in, clock in,  log out, log in, clock in, log out, log back in is tedious for a 3 man crew.  This needs to be addressed.  Crew leader should be able to log in and see the member that were assigned by the ops manager when they 1st log in for the day.  Then quickly click their names from a drop down screen to log them into their crew.

I agree with Abe.  It’s ridiculous there isn’t an easier option for the Crew Lead to select employees on their Crew for the day and just clock them in.

You can add employees to the Crew Leader’s route, but they don’t show up on the app, so it’s pointless.

I just submitted this as an idea. When it gets accepted, I will make a “Rock the Vote” post!

I can see both sides of this. The pin number forces ownership of the crew members times and prevents “fraud”.

Back in the day we used to have a card time clock, slide card to clock in and clock out. Crew members were always losing their card (no personal responsibility). So then we had a card storage rack. This led to crew member A sliding 2 or more cards in and out at the same time regardless of who was actually in attendance at the moment. “I’m almost there, clock me in” .

This is somewhat nitpicky but minutes add up.  For those that don’t care about minutes this could be added as an additional option.

There is alread an option to not allow crew members to clock in before crew leaders. This is for those businesses that are counting minutes.

The biggest issue we have is simply lack of training of new crew members on how to clock in and out, but after the first couple days they settle in.
