We are finally bringing irrigation in house and i have most of it figured out except the irrigation service call/repair part.

How is everyone creating work tickets in aspire?  i dont want to have to create a ticket and get it approved in the office and then do the work.  rather - we do have a service call ticket that the tech can use in the field, or create in the field and add materials, time and notes to the ticket.

T&M?  in theory this is great but how do we do a trip charge and have it include the first 30, 45 min 1hr etc free?

any thoughts or imput would be great

I would recommend adding “T&M” tickets that have been marked “As-Needed” to your maintenance contracts. You can grant individual routes the permission to add or create a ticket in the field. through the route management screen. This will allow them to create new T&M tickets, or schedule ones that are already marked ‘As-Needed”.

The benefit of having them in your maintenance contract is that you can have agreed on pricing for these services for the entire contract year.

You can set a minimuk charge for these services as well.

Hope that helps. Feel free to reach out if you have any other qs

kbaird -

do you have time for a quick 10 minute call to talk about this?  would love to pick your brain on this?

Create a service call opportunity template that is T&M, with whatever rates you want, etc.  Then when in the field, the tech can create a quick ticket based on the property that can later be linked to a service call ticket for invoicing.
